Bi Dos Two is an exhibition produced by the eremuak programme, featuring artists selected through an open call.
eremuak conference 2017. Azkuna Zentroa: Room CAC2 (Centre of Complementary Activities 2).
Whether as mere observers or active participants, for some time we’ve been swept along by currents which give education centre stage in contemporary art. Interventions of all types, in universities, museums or art centres, or organised by the artists themselves — ranging from workshops, seminars and other offerings — explore and assess art’s education potential. At times, education is little more than a fashionable thematic resource,...
In 2017 eremuak is launching a specific call for proposals with the aim of organising a collective exhibition to be held in the CAC1 /CAB1 (Complementary Activities Building 1) at Azkuna Zentroa/Alhóndiga Bilbao in February and March 2018...
eremuak, in collaboration with Omi International Arts Center, is calling for applications for an international residency for artists...
This year’s sessions are dedicated to the presentation of some of the projects supported by the open call for proposals within the eremuak programme. With this initiative we want to draw attention to the diversity of proposals promoted and to look more deeply into contemporary artistic publishing, interpretation and production through the experiences of its creators. Within this framework, other activities carried out in 2016 will also be presented, such as issue no.
These seminars are established as a space for reflection on important questions associated with artistic practice such as "publish", "produce" and "programme". In turn, the seminars will set out to draw attention to a number of projects and initiatives that have been put forward in the last two eremuak programmes.
This seminar has been conceived as a showcase for projects and initiatives created since the eremuak programme was first announced in December 2010.
Along the lines of previous initiatives such as the Seminar that was held in January 2012, on this occasion the seminar, organised by eremuak, will focus on the legitimisation discourses that informed public policies.
As stated in the programatic document, eremuak is a project intended to help activate the sphere of action of the Basque Government´s cultural policy on plastic and visual arts using a continuous open programme designed to optimise contemporary art environments.
