Egiar Aldizkaria is a print arts magazine project which superimposes art research and creation, amongst other themes.

Graduated cum laude in fine arts at the University of the Basque Country in 2013 following a year of study at the University of the West of England, Bristol. He continued his training with studies in film, video and TV. He has received various artistic bursaries, such as the grant from the Fundación Antonio Gala in 2014. From 2015 to 2016 he combined his artistic work with studying for a master’s in painting at the University of the Basque Country and in La Taller, where he also worked as an assistant in the studio and the gallery.

His work hybridises different art forms and he is currently looking at improvisation in expanded arts. He focuses on the relationship and the gap between image and words, amongst other interests. He has exhibited his work in various European locations and has published written pieces in several journals, catalogues and fanzines. He is currently setting up an arts publishing house called Krolem which will flip the flow of languages and traditional class-based perspectives to take a different approach to artistic publications. He received a grant from the Basque Government in 2016 for his doctoral thesis, and is currently working as a doctoral researcher.
